On December 30, YG Entertainment denied the rumors, confirming Blackpink will not be transferring to YGE’s affiliate label The Black Label. The agency simply stated, “It’s false.”
Previous rumors stated YGE is in the midst of restructuring the agency, and Blackpink’s management would be handled by The Black Label, which was founded by YG producer Teddy and Kush in 2015.

Now if most of these end up at The Black Label or something, it does seem like more of a soft rebrand away from YGE’s recent “checkered history” than a true mass exodus, but this could end up being a significant shift in the industry regardless.
If they’re leaving for a reason, though, it does make us wonder what that is exactly. They’ve certainly gone through worse in terms of the company’s image and management before.
Perhaps it’s due to Yang Hyun Suk’s rumored return to the company following his acquittal-but-still-shitty-person decision.
Blackpink debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016. The girl group recently completed the European leg of their world tour “BORN PINK” and will begin the Asian leg in Bangkok on January 7.
In 2018 YG Entertainment began including solo stages for each member of Blackpink to perform at their concerts. Lisa’s was mostly made up of her dancing to songs by other artists.
